1. Playing Too Defensively

As we covered in our Defensive vs Aggressive strategy guide, playing entirely safe in a timed, score-based match is a recipe for disaster. If you aren't hunting for captures, you will lose to players who are.

2. Ignoring the Clock

Time is a resource. If you take 10 seconds to make every move, and your opponent takes 2 seconds, they will physically get more moves and more points than you before the timer expires. Play fast.

3. Clumping Tokens

Keeping all your tokens on adjacent squares outside of safe zones makes them a prime target for an opponent rolling a high number. Spread out your risk to maintain board control.
